Import Alias Plugin for Rhino 5

Update: The second preview version with improved functionality has been released. Also contains experimental plugin for Rhino 5.0 32bit version.

 

 

Its been almost an year since the release of Alias plugins to import/export Rhino 3d files. I have been working on similar plugins for Rhino to import/export Alias wire files.  I am happy to announce the availability of the Release Candidate of ImportAlias Plugin for Rhino 5.0 (x64).

Import CSV Plugin

Autodesk Alias® Plugin to import 3d Points in a CSV (Comma Sperated Value) file.

Getting Started:

  • Open the Plugin Manager and Click on Browse, to locate the plugin at c:\Program Files\DS\ImportCSV\lib\ImportCSV.plugin.
  • Select the Auto Load option to automatically load the plugin the next time Alias starts.
  • The plugin will be installed under File->Import menu, as Import CSV

Usage:

Click on Import CSV to import the contents of the point file into the current stage.
A Polyline is created, connecting the 3D points defined in the file.
