Plugin for Autodesk® Alias® to generate tires of various sizes for Cars and Motorcycles.
The plug-in is a convenient way to create automotive tires of various sizes by specifying industry standard notations, i.e. Witdth in MM/aspect ratio Rim diameter in INCH. By default the tire size is set to 205/65R15. The resulting Tire would have the pivot in the center of the tire, so that it can be placed accurately to the correct wheel center locations. To make the data lighter, threads are mimicked using a bump map texture.
The plug-in can also generate motorcycle tires of various sizes.
Getting Started
Getting Started
Open Utilities > Plugin Manager and select TireGen to enable the plugin. The plugin will be listed under Autodesk Apps.
Select the Auto Load option to automatically load the plugin the next time Autodesk® Alias® starts.
The plugin will be installed under Palette > Object Edit menu, as TireGen.
- Select TireGen_2024_1 if Alias version is newer that Alias 2024.1
- Select TireGen_2021_3 if Alias version is newer that Alias 2021.3 but older than Alias 2024
- Select TireGen for all older versions of Alias
